Day 180 od 366
Car show today. Lots of details and thought this one was fun, colorful and simple.
Detail from a 1939 Ford Sedan
Lensbaby 2.0 and an f/4 disc.

Day 179 of 366
The only subject for the day, but a good one I think. Future strawberries in full bloom after being watered after a long hot day. This was not taken with a macro lens (tried that too) but with a 30mm and a 20mm extension tube. Had to take the lens hood off to keep from s -

Day 178 of 366
Summer day at the park. The clouds led me to this location, and the low angle just seemed appropriate.

Not what I had intended to shoot today, but the butterfly took off, time got away from me with projects and very few photos to choose from today.

Imagination.
My son turned 5 today. This image struck me today as an opportunity for something different than the normal birthday shot.

Day 172 of 366
I thought the foreground made for a nice composition. Foreground "hills" kind of feeling, then blue water, then hills again, then blue sky. 15 seconds.
Biking to work (you can't drive to this location anyway), so stripped the vertical grip and -

Candid of Mike. He was feeling a bit left out because Kermit got so much attention.
Both of them being green and all.
I don't want you to think I take things too seriously, so have to throw something in like this every once in awhile.

Day 170 of 366
Stopped here on my way to work this morning (bike ride) and thought the long lines in the water would go well with the long lines in the clouds. 15 seconds and no tripod; used available rocks and a bubble level.

Day 167 of 366
Taken on the drive home. Not the most dramatic shot ever posted of course, but I liked the long shadows, the green trees, rocky terrain and the "snow bowl"

Day 166 of 366
Stephanie & Chad, what a great couple! This really was an awesome wedding and I had a blast.
We took some time after all the reception events to get some great portraits and moments in great light.

Day 165 of 366
5 minute exposure. Moonrise, beach, sand, water, grass, log, clouds, movement.
Why use the D200 for this exposure? The D300 was busy taking a 20 minute exposure down by the water. ;-)
The wind was quite strong for hours, then almost stopped for about an hour be -

Home in the clouds. Not a shot I am all that proud of, but concidering it was the only shot for the day, it is OK. I shot 12 shots of this, from my driveway over a one hour period. I loaded all of them into Photoshop CS3 Extended via Scripts...Load Files Into Stack -

Day 154 of 366
The inside of a Peony. Shot with an Alien Bee B800 at full power with a 18" long snoot.
It is a shot I had visualized for a couple weeks. Still not quite what I was after (finding the right bloom) but good enough to share to the day's post I though.

Day 153 of 366
This little House Sparrow was quite upset that a cat was beneath his nest. Did not mind as much that I was within 10 feet of him. Hard to capture them with the beak open, but this little guy was quite upset and chirped madly for several minutes.
