        Day 241 of 366
Commercial shoot inside a large peach orchard started at 5:00am this morning. I bracketed a bunch of sunrise shots and used off camera flash to try to bring the fruit into the dark exposure of sunrise. I am pretty happy with this merge.

        I only used one speedlig

Had to shoot something today, and this seemed like a good place to try something on the way home from a portrait consultation.

Took the family through Northwest Trek and we saw virtually every animal on the trip. I liked this one with the velvet of the antlers falling across his face and the timing of his tongue sticking out.

Mt. Rainier and surrounding mountains in full bloom this week. The sky was overcast as the storm was passing over so went with shots that did not show the sky.

Last week of cherry harvest. 400 workers showing up before sunrise to stage the day for harvest. Taken at the top of a hill with the vehicles going by me into the distance.

        Day 216 of 366
Visualized as a 16x9 crop. Last light on the upper part of the image, open shade on the lower part. Martin Creek where it flows into the Tye River.
Taken during a hike with my dog. I like the sole branch at the bottom and how it gives a little pop of green.

        Day 215 of 366
Tiny bloom, tiny droplet. Droplet is smaller than a BB and was fun to play with diffraction and lighting. As shot & framed.

        Why Compelling
I love the droplet caught by the tiny bloom, the refraction through the water and the colors and framing.

        Day 214 of 366
Shot a dozen of these and tough to pick the one I liked the best. Two off camera SB-600 units triggered by Pocket Wizards.

Why Compelling I like the light balance, the patchy sky and the colors here. The square crop is a favorite, when it works for me.
