        Day 274 of 366
My 3yo daughter at her dance class. The lighting in this space is not great, so this was the best I could do with it.

        Why Compelling
The fact that I got something out of this lighting and location that met my minimum creative goals was worthwhile. The soft

The only photo taken today. Crow chaos.
        In-camera motion blur.

        Why Compelling
The painterly effect I hope. It was the only shot I took today, so it is what it is. But it works well enough for me to post for the day too.

Sunrise, fog lifting, single dandelion head. Thought this made for a nice photo for today.
This is cropped tighter than shot with an 85 1.8 and 32mm extension tube.
I only took two lenses on this trip; 30 1.4 & 85 1.8 and a D300 with the battery vertical remo

Light caught my eye as sunset approached, then went into the timothy hay to see what was there. This big grasshopper made for a nice subject. This is as framed with an 85 1.8 and 32mm extension tube.

Took the train to Seattle this morning. Then went for a two hour walk around downtown. This is as-framed and shot in Occidental Park in Pioneer Square area. Public art that caught my eye for just this approach.

Some backlit leaves that caught my at a brief stop on my way home.

        Why Compelling
I like the backlight here. I really was not pleased with the default color, but did not think the B&W was all that compelling. The two merged together this way worked bett

        Why Compelling
This tree is compelling, but only at a certain angle for me. The color was not compelling at all for me. But in infrared with some clouds really worked out well for me here. I really like the way it came

        First day of fall.
100 photos to go for this project.
Thought this made a nice statement for the color that is yet to come for this fall.

        Day 265 of 366
Shot during a family portrait session this evening.

        Why Compelling
I love the light, the eyes and the little smile. Not always easy to control such a shot, so this one is a keep from this day for sure.

The only shot worth posting for this busy day. Still like it, as the weather made the lighting pretty boring for much of any other ideas.

        Why Compelling
This was a bit of a let-down today. I had very little time for photography and even less inspiration for

Sunrise on some large Golden Delicious apples.

        Why Compelling
The morning light was compelling for me. Balancing it with the fruit was my goal. I think it came out well and met my goals for the shot. There are possibly 100 other ways to approach this con

        Why Compelling

Kaffir Lilly after sunset. The fly on the upper part was a bonus find.

        Why Compelling
I love the lighting, it is what let me to take this photo. The different flower is striking to me too. The whole shot came together as I had hoped.

The color and light struck me for a photo op. Strawberry leaves.

        Why Compelling
I like the colors. The red leaves add a spark to the normal green color. The lighting was working, which led me to see this potential shot.

This is a sprinkler in the neighborhood near sunset. I loved the light and blur from the droplets.
