I was tired this day and did not have the energy to setup a more elaborate shoot.
Still, I like the results from this tree in the neighborhood.

Lots of great shots tonight. Hard to pick a fav, so went with on that shows the intent of the session...portrait. Rider and two horses at sunset along the river.

Senior portrait shoot under a train overpass this evening. Processed entirely in Lightroom 2

Sunrise this morning along the riverfront trail. This did not catch my eye until I was headed back to the vehicle. Got to love first minutes of light.

        Why Compelling
I love the light! The shot several minutes early looked nothing like this. I took this v

Janet was fun to shoot. In fact both her and her friend were fun. A session so they could have new portraits for thier husbands this Christmas.

        Why Compelling
I am very satisfied with how this session came out. They were both a lot of fun and the shots met

This leaf pattern was odd and made it for a photo of the day.

        Why Compelling
Finding this texture int he leaf certainly is compelling to me. That fact alone led me to select one of the photos of it for today. It is just so different and makes me wonder wha

        Day 292 of 366

        Why Compelling
I looked at this location for weeks waiting for the color to be just right. Drove by here right at sunset specifically to take some shots like this. I like the depth in the shot, the obvious subject, the colors and the square format.

        Up & over panorama.

        Why Compelling
180 pano over your head, I like them. Fun to do when the moment comes together with the idea. The leaf makes the shot for me and gives you a place to ground the shot.

        Day 290 of 366
A different twist on fall color and leaves.

        Why Compelling
As much as I liked the color in the original, the shot was all about the texture to me. This is how I saw it and I like how it came out. The angle and perspective is different and so is the result.

Senior portrait session. A guy and his first car is always pretty popular it seems, but this is the first time I have done a session with a car in it.
This was during a sunrise session and he was a trooper as it was pretty chilly this morning.

This creek is only 2 feet wide, but with the lens hood touching the water, it looks a bit wider than that.

        Why Compelling
The light! Without it I would have never stopped here. Once I did, I liked the leaves in the tiny stream and how the shot came togethe

        Day 287 of 366
Fun with a long exposure (5 min.) as clouds are exiting the valley and a merger with some fall foreground leaves. Needed to get something shot for this evening and this is what came out of the session.

I really like how this shot came togethe

        Day 286 of 366
A simple sunset tonight, the way I saw it should be.

        Why Compelling
The color for sure. The cold and warmth together is a good choice for this shot. The stack of clouds and how the fit in the photo is what led me to capture this simple scene.

Very busy day but not for photography.
This shot caught my eye for a photo before the day came to a close.

        Why Compelling
The color and light play is nice. I like the three tips of leaves in the upper right and how they meet at the yellow spot. Nothin

A bit of red green and blue today.
I did manipulate the shoreline to simplify this shot.

        Why Compelling
I love the red, green and blue in this shot. The shot is much simpler with the shoreline squeeze I applied. The simple sky void of clouds is OK for

My pooch as she briefly left on a pair of sunglasses.

        Why Compelling
She kept the glasses on for a second, the tongue was a bonus and she is not all that easy to photograph, so it works well for me.

I love the everyday a different way. ;-)

        Why Compelling

Little ball of ice. I like the lighting and the way the shot came out. I had only a few minutes left in this day so

        Dog at a car show.

Some fall color coming with the incoming weather.

        Why Compelling
I like the feeling of fall approaching, the sky is worth including, the foreground leads you in and the shot works as a whole for me.

        Wild morning weather.

        Why Compelling
I love wild weather. This morning was certainly worth having a camera out and being on a hillside with a view of it was nice too. I like the way it came together, how I saw it, and how the light plays out in the shot.<

        An everyday object. Any guesses?

(my K&N filter for my truck) ;-)

        Why Compelling
The everyday a different way. I love to do that. I saw this object I needed to install and knew I could get an interesting visual out of it.
